October III
This post is without pics but designed to give an update on the senior neandersons. We continue to live routine lives. We have very little drama to report.
We survived our second "new.familysearch" class which we present during Sunday School. At a maximum we have 45 minutes for the class but prepare for several hours. My present opinion is that this new program is good and in the long term will support the mandate of President Hinckley when he commissioned the project. I admit that it seems complicated but, like other new users, I find that the complexity develops into a very useful program with use. We will teach next Sunday and will miss the last Sunday of October because of our trip to Patchogue, NY.
This week we cleaned the garage. Actually, we disposed of very little of its contents. It looks clean because we moved the clutter from one side to the other and made a new place for our three 55 gallon plastic drums designed to hold water for storage.
Today I filled the plastic drums with water. That gives us 165 gallons of water for our emergency storage. We have food tins in our basement storage room and three 72 hour "kits" in the garage.
I continue to work on client projects and to edit my new book--awaiting word from Congress on estate and gift taxes. Marge is very busy with her personal family history and spends the hours between Midnight and four AM routinely with Elijah and her ancestors. She has now decided that she is related to everyone in Baldwin County, Alabama. That means that all of you (our biological offspring) are also related to those folks.
Saturday, Dave, Jackie and Nathan will be down for a barbeque. Dave & I will be going to the TCU football game which starts at 5:30 p.m. In this connection, you may have heard that "College Game Day" the national show which kicks off the college games every saturday, is coming to Provo. Actually, it's a big deal--especially if BYU wins the game. TCU is ranked #8 and BYU #18 in the BCS bowl series.
Next Monday evening we plan to go to Breezy's concert at the Covey Center in Provo.
Next Wednesday (in one week) we head to the Hart house in NY. We are excited.
Adios for now.
B. Ray
