Fly Fishing In Wyoming

We plan to pick up Bill Hepworth from EFY on Saturday morning and host him for the weekend. On Monday morning at about 9:30 a.m. we (Marge, Jenni, Bill Hep, and I) will meet Cathi, Mike, Brit and Dan at the SLC airport. They will be renting a vehicle. With two vehicles we will caravan to Jackson, Wyoming. Our route will be to pick up the main road between Jackson and Pinedale, Wyoming where the Green River flows under the Kendell Bridge. From that point we will track the Hoback River and will be looking for fishing spots.

We will be staying in a condo near Jackson, Wyoming and will be planning for fly fishing and other adventures during the week. On Tuesday we will probably fish the Hoback near where Granite Creek joins the Hoback. (Ami, Becki and Dave will remember this is where we fished alot when we camped in the Granite Creek campground many years ago. The fishing was pretty good and the eating was yummy.

I am bringing 5 fly rods and 2 casting rods. That ought to cover those who want to fish. Of the group mentioned Marge may be the only one who will opt out.

There are other adventures in the Jackson Hole Wyoming area. One night we will hit the Bar J Ranch for a steak dinner and a show of cowboy (old peoples) humor .

Wish you all could be there with us. Maybe next year. Watch for photos and more commentary in about a week.

David: We have all seen the "great flood" of your garden on your blog but there has been no follow up. The only photos of Nathan have been on my blog. The whole family wants to see Nathan not zucchini.

Cathi: What about some photos of Bishop Hepworth, Bill and the other ward youth doing the Salmon River in Idaho?
