Mid-January 2010 Report

Hello All:

Still no photos for the blog. The month of January is sliding by and we are struggling to get some meaningful things done. Marge and I are spending much of our time on family history, writing FH stories and teaching two classes each week on new.familysearch.

Meanwhile, I find time for a little exercise, reading and TV, and working on some client matters. Right now I have four clients to visit in Northern California in the next two months.

We are anxious for February to come so we can go to the Speck home for a visit. We will be there 10 days and John will show up for at least a long week-end. We look forward to warm weather and time with Ben and Eli.

This Saturday is Nathan's scheduled birthday with little friends. Marge and I will be attending and help with the activities. Jackie and David have planned something very special.

Today I walked 2 miles at the Orem recreation center. I know it's not much for John and the Specks and Harts---but it works for me. My goal is to be in better shape for the reunion in July.

I (but probably not Marge) am planning to go to Mexico in March. Are there any other interested players?

Is anyone planning to come for General Conference in April?

Everybody keep the faith. Love you all.

Missing The New Year Moment

On New Year's eve Dave and Jackie brought Nathan to stay with Marge and I while they went to the Provo Marriott for a dance and party with various Peruvians and other assorted friends. Nathan was pumped up and didn't get to sleep until very late. As we approached the Midnight Moment Marge and I were both laying on the bed with Nathan trying to move him from barely awake to "finally asleep." By the time the transition happened it was about 1 a.m. and we missed the New Year Moment.

So, I ask you. Are we still in 2009 or 2010?

Anyway, a big change happened to us after 2010 started. Our church meetings now start at 1 p.m. And guess what? Some people are still late.

One other development. Nathan had a cold. And Marge couldn't resist smooching Nathan while he was with us. Now Marge has a cold and sore throat.

That's it for now.
